Prepping not only for Halloween but also for mine and husbands 2 year anniversary. As its half term my nails will either not get done or be chipped by the time its our anniversary so this year I planned ahead. My nails are not only done and are going to last all week. I found these decals and they were so easy to use.
The results are gorgeous, these are my
” The Nightmare Before Christmas ” nails and they are exactly what I wanted.
I could wear these all year round they are awesome.
In the October GlossyBox I received a sample size of Rimmel BB Cream Matte, this 8ml sample is perfect for trying out a product before buying it.
It comes in two shades light and medium, personally light wasn’t light enough for me as it still looked a little dark on my skin tone but not so much that it wasn’t wearable. Just make sure your neck matches your face by applying down your neck too if needed.
This 9in1 skin perfecting super makeup primes, moistures, minimises pores, conceals, covers, smoothes, mattifies, brightens and protects your skin. That’s a lot of a product that costs roughly £6.99.
So does it do all it says? Yes
I needed no primer underneath as the formula went on easily, the formula felt a little thick but I find this is common with most matte products but depending on how oily your skin is you may not find this a problem.
It covered up spots easily, only needed a little dab of extra product on stubbon spots and it covered dark circles without need of any extra product. My skin looked smoother without looking caked, it really only took a small amount of product so a full size would go a long way.
The matte formula speaks for itself as no shine is left but the brightening action makes your skin look natural. Also has SP15 to protect your skin on a daily basis.
All in all this is the perfect product for combination / oily skin. The formula although thick doesn’t clog your pores and once on feels like your wearing no make up at all. Its a time saver for anyone who hasn’t got a lot of time for make up in the morning or to throw in your bag and apply later. Busy mums for instance or students can take full advantage of this product that can do many things for a fraction of the cost of buying loads of products.
I would recommend this product and I’m hoping they will extend there range of shades.
I’ve been so excited about this box and couldn’t wait until dispatch day. I love the box, the Pop Art looks amazing and will sit beside my July box (the american flag inspired box) once it’s contents have been emptied out. I had a feeling this months GlossyBox wouldn’t let me down and I was more that right.
Below are the contents of my October GlossyBox:
NUXE Creme Fraiche De Beaute Mask

I can’t wait to use this especially with the colder weather now setting in. The full size product comes in the box and its worth £19.50 for 50ml.
Etre Belle Cosmetics Liplift Peel
A moisturising exfoliator to replenish your lips. The gentle formula removes the dead skin cells leaving behind soft lips in just 1 minute. Another full size product worth €12.95 for 15ml.

A pop of colour to match the theme of the box, part of a range of 88 eye popping colours. Two coats to get the perfect colour, full size product worth £ 9 for 13.5ml.

All together a really great box which I am very happy with. I wonder what other items were up on offer either way I wasn’t disappointed.

This little collection will give you that perfectly defined look with the help of all three products.
The next item in the collection is the Freak Scarab Extrait which is one of the newer perfumes but not not brand new. The perfume contains hints of Blood Orange, Ylang Ylang and Egyptian Jasmine.
The lipsticks come in two colours, the first one been Salacious which is one of the permanent colours and is described at a matt raspberry red.
The second is a Glamore colour called Starkers which is a soft flesh pink with a satin finish.
Last but not least a beautiful make up bag which has room for all your essentials but is still pefect for throwing in the suitcase.
Lets not forget the mini brush set which will also go perfectly in your bag which contains 5 essential brushes. Powder brush, eyeshadow brush, blending brush, angled brush and lip brush.
I received a sample of this product from latest in beauty, I had to go digging for more information on the product before I actually used it as no information came in the box.
This multi-tasking translucent foundation which will leave your skin with a dewy glow. It comes in two shades that can be used separately or combined together to get your perfect complection match.
No Foundation Foundation diffuses imperfections, corrects skin undertones and minimises the apperance of fine lines and pores over time with regular use of course.Extra bonuses are it is mineral based and has SPF30.
When I first put this on my skin I wasn’t quite sure the colour matched my skin but with minimal effort the colour adapted to my skin tone. I was left with bright, youthful looking skin but I’m not use to havinh glowing skin and to me my skin just looked oily. This calmed down after a while and it looked more natural so if there are any other girls with oily skin reading this, give it a chance first. Its a good product but it wasn’t enough coverage to me, Its light coverage and I prefer a little bit more. Also even though the product is unperfumed I could smell the product, I find this with some products and have ended up just not been able to use them because I don’t like been able to smell it all through the day. It wasn’t unpleasant but it wasn’t nice either.
Overall I would use this product but not on a daily basis for the reasons above. I think I’ll stick to my foundation for this one.
I’ve received various pamper products from beauty boxes and ones I’ve ordered myself lately. With the colder days well under way its the perfect time to treat your skin to some luxury after all the cold weather can be hard on your skin. I’m so happy I found the time to relax and try these items this week, I find it hard to find the time to relax so when I do find it I go all out and usually end up with the best night sleep I’ve had it ages.
Eyeko Hydrogel Eye patches
The Hydrogel Eye Patch comes in a little packet with as you can guess a little under eye patch for each eye. It claims to visibly diminish the appearance of dark shadows and puffiness for the delicate patch of skin under your eyes. Leaving the skin hydrated, firm and your eyes brighter. When I put these on all I could think is the felt cold and wet but its not too bad. Once on you leave on for 30 minutes, its easy to forget they are there so don’t go out with them on. My eyes did look less tired, more radiant and the skin did feel firmer. I’m glad I have another pack as I’ll be scheduling in another pamper session soon.
Skin Pep : Brightening Enzyme & Acid Peel
A professional grade peeling gel that targets dark spots and dissolves dead skin to leave skin exfoliated, soft and vibrant. It’s paraben, alcohol, perfume, mineral oil and artificial dyes free. simply wet the skin and apply massaging but not rubbing the skin. I could leave it on for 5 mins or more for my skin type but for dry or sensitive I’d stick to 1-2 minutes. Then add water to active gel and wash off. I found my skin was definitely softer and bright but the day after my skin was slightly dry from this nothing some moisturiser couldn’t solve.
Sanctuary Spa : White Lily & Damask Rose Body Lotion
After a hot bath, I finished off my pampering evening with this beautiful body lotion. Described as lightweight formula and delicate fragrance I can tell you that is exactly what it is. The formula was easily absorbed by my skin and the delicate smell of rose was beautiful and not at all overpowering. Definitely worth a try.
Among the products of the August Glossybox was a Highlighter made by Kryolan for Glossybox. I’ve used Kryolan products before so it was a product I was looking foward to using but I can’t say I was that excited that it was a highlighter.
Described as the perfect versatile highlighter cream that can be used on cheekbones, lips and other parts of the skin you wish to highlight. The lightweight formula makes it very wearable as once you’ve put it on you wont notice its there for the rest of the day.
I used this as a brow bone highlighter as well as on my cheekbones but you can also use in otherways such as your cupids bow. The product recieved was full size worth £12.95.
I love the kryolan highlighter itself, its definitely lightweight, great highlighter perfect for brow bone highlighting. The texture is smooth, takes minimal product to the job and gives you that wide awake look if you are running late. But at £12.95 its quite a steep price for the job it does when you can get similar products for cheaper. I guess it all comes down to how much your willing to spend on a highlighter. As I had it in GlossyBox, this product alone is almost the cost of the box itself.
In the August GlossyBox I received the Phillip Kingsley Elasticizer, I couldn’t wait to receive this item as I heard so much about it before hand. It was a sneak peek item and I think its one everyone received. The rest of the box I found quite disappointing as it was just standard products so decided not to do a reveal on this particular box even if it was their birthday box.
The first thing that drew me to this product was that it was originally created specifically for screen icon Audrey Hepburn, who wouldn’t be intrigued by that, I am a huge fan of her films and her style so its almost like having a piece of her beauty knowledge to have a product that was designed just for her.
This pre-shampoo treatment gives unrivalled elasticity, manageability, bounce and shine. All this without weighing down or coating your hair hair and it can be used by all hair types. Just wet your hair, add the treatment, sit with a towel or shower cap on your hair for 10-20 mins depending on your hair type and then shampoo and condition as normal.
I have never found a hair product that lives up to all it says it will do so perfectly as this product. With the first use their was so much vitality and movement to my hair. To the touch it was silky soft and still is numerous washes down the line. It works perfectly with the rockabilly, 50s look for curls with bounce and shine.
A definite buy and worth its cost as you’ll feel every inch the movie star. Full Size £ 38 for 250ml.
The Illamasqua Autumn Collection Once… is one of the best collections I’ve seen in a while between this collection and the MAC Romance Collection I think I’m going to be very poor this month lol.
” Exquisite is the passing of time. Revealing fresh spendor.”
“The Dark Rose Gives Light To Innocence Divine, True Beauty Remains Untouched, Enduring All At Once…”
A beautiful collection combining old and new, timeless beauty with a modern twist. the whole collection oozes charm, charisma and undying beauty. Within the collection there is :

This beautiful Nail Varnish seems timeless and from another era, described as golden teal you will love how exquisite it looks and the matte finish is perfect for the Autumn / Winter months.

Powder Blusher : Naked Rose
You probablly already know how pigmented and colourful Illamasqua Powder Blusher is and with this Neutral Beige Pink you will have that english rose look but you will definetly will not be fading into the background anytime soon.
Sheer Lipgloss: Exquisite & Opulent
Super Glossy, sheer lip colour in Exquisite (Oyster Pink) & Opulent (Rainbow Beige). Perfect on its own or over lipstick.
A wonderful collection I have already dug my claws into, still trying so reviews to go up soon but wow what an Autumn collection. This is my kind of understated beauty products that will have heads turning.
My first time I’m getting this box of little treasures and I have to say I’m impressed. With this box you pick two items out of a list and they add the extras. I really enjoyed opening this little box as apart from the two items I picked the other items were a complete surprise, no hint at all what to expect.
The two items I selected to have were:
Sanctuary Spa : White Lily & Damask Rose Body Lotion
A floral moisturiser infused with a blend of shea butter and rose extracts. It should leave your skin nourished, soft, smooth and lightly scented. Needless to say I will be trying this after my soak in the bath tonight.
Eyeko : Hydrogel Eye Patch pack of 2
Botanically infused eye patches for radiant bright eyes, these eye patches will instantly brighten and revive eyes for a wide awake look. With concentrated anti-stress and anti-fatigue ingredients treat the eye area visibly diminishing dark shadows and puffiness. If this works in the 20 mins it says it does then I would be happy, pity I haven’t got 20 mins to sit still in the morning though.
And here are my extras:
Toni&Guy : Glamour Volume Plumping Whip
The ultimate hair treat that will leave your hair full of body and bounce all day long. With its non sticky formula it will lift, volumise and all without pesky fly-aways. Just apply a walnut sized amount at the roots, blow dry to unleash sleek body through your hair. Perfect for that up do. Lookinh forward to giving this a try.
Crabtree & Evelyn : Afternoon Tea and Blackberry Green Tea
A little birthday treat which also offers £5 off a £25 spend instore. This is perfext to relax with and I’m thinking I had the ultimate pamper box here.
£25 off my firat box order, I’ve been looking at these for a while and I think this voucher may very well be what makes me cave to give them a try
Aswell as a little makeup sponge ready for the Autumn make up refresh.
Hope you enjoy if you get one of these it definitely put a smile on my face.
