Review : Benefit Puff Off!

Every woman has those little wonder products in their makeup bag, the mascara that lengthens your eyelashes, the lip gloss that gives you fuller lips and all these help us achieve our daily look.

But what if you don’t have anything but 15 mins to get ready in the morning, concealing and contouring will take too much of that time and you can’t leave the house with only half a face on. Whether your a mum on the school run, in a rush to beat traffic to get to work or trying to recover from a night out Benefit Puff Off! Will help you out.

Benefit Puff Off review

Benefit Puff Off! Is an eye gel that instantly smooths puffiness under the eyes. The gel itself is peach coloured and has only a slight fragrance. If you’ve used Benefit products before such as Benefit Eyecon or Benefit Its potent then you’ll love this little wonder. Not only does it smooth puffy tired eyes but will also smooth out fine lines and creases. It can be used alone or under makeup.

Benefit Review Puff Off

Personally I use this when I’m short for time in the mornings or running a little late for the school run. It’s suprising how much of a difference it makes, I use it along side Benefit It’s potent eye cream which is a brightening cream that fades dark circles. I like that the formula is light, cooling to the skin and you only need a little for each eye so a little really does go a long way. The photo above show you just how little you need to use to achieve results.

Look: Dusky Pink (Autumn)

Dusky Pink is the colour to have this autumn, its on the catwalks in all forms but most importantly its inspiring beauty looks and nail varnish trends. As the lips go bolder is shades of berry eyes go softer is pink hues. I created this look with neutral lips and slightly smokey eyes instead of my usual black eyeliner.

Benefit Erase Paste Review

Benefit erase paste has been part of my make up bag for many years, it’s not a product I use daily any more but it’s definitely something you want in your make up bag. Erase Paste is a brightening camouflage for your eyes and face, the creamy formula conceals and brightens all in one step and comes in a handy little tub. The product itself targets dark circles, discolouration and imperfections. They come in 3 shades so you should find a match for your colouring, personally I have shade 01 – fair.

I use this product on the dark circles under my eyes, make sure your fingers are warm and then get a little product on the tips, gently dab the erase paste under your eye on the dark circles. Once you have done that blend gently don’t pull at the skin under your eye as this skin is very delicate. Too much product will give you that caked look which I’m sure your trying to avoid. I also use this when I’m having a less that perfect skin day, its great for concealing spots and blending them in before putting on your foundation. If you haven’t tried it then you should it will save you on those spotty days or they days you just haven’t had much sleep.

Date Night – MUA Dusk til Dawn Palette

Continuing with my love of the MUA Palettes I used my Dusk Til Dawn Palette to create a look for a night out with my other half. The plan was the cinema to see The Dark Knight Rises but it was sold out, so we had a lovely tapas meal at La Tasca and this palette had the perfect colour to match me dress.  The result of Smokey Teal Look and what I used to create it :

Benefit The Pore-Fessional Minimiser Primer Review

As this item has quickly become a must have in every womans’ make up bag, the question I have to ask is ” Does It live up to your expectations?”.  The POREfessional has been said to be the best selling primer since it made its début,  The PRO balm is said to minimise the appearance of pores.

Quickly minimise the appearance of pores & fine lines for smoother-than-smooth skin! Apply this silky, lightweight balm alone, under or over makeup. Translucent, oil-free formula complements all skintones and helps makeup stay put. Contains a Vitamin E derivative, known to protect skin from free radicals.

I tried this primer a couple of months ago and although I think it’s a great product is not the best primer I’ve come across. Although the formula is very silky and smooth I found that the colour wasn’t right for me. I know I have light skin but this made me a funny colour. I have since revisited this product to give it a second chance, I have used it just on my nose and found personally that’s the best use I get out of it. For £23.50 its not worth it for me.

What have your experiences been like with this product, is it a must or a miss?

Look : Toasted Marshmallow (Pinks & Browns)

If the name makes you hungry then I apologise in advance, the name is a mixture of the eye shadow names and the colours. I also used BB Cream for the first time in this look so I will do a full review about that later on. The look is mostly pinks with some browns, subtle enough for say and just use a brighter pink and smoke the browns out for a night time look.

Summer Ombre Look

If you haven’t seen the Ombre trend lately heres a look at it as a make up look. I’ve seen it mostly on nails this summer but I thought a look like this couldn’t hurt especially with the make up trio I was using which I will get to later. Ombre is french for shadow / shade / shaded, in the fashion world it basically means anything stating out as one colour and morphing into another. Ombre has been everywhere so far, we’ve had hair, clothes, nails so why not Ombre eye shadow?
