In my Lux Box this month I received an eco eye shadow trio from Green People, this little compact has three beautiful shades to create the perfect look. The shade I recieved in my box was Earth and I think this will create a lovely down to earth look, hence the name. Make Up Brush Maintenance : How To Clean Your Brushes

Brush maintenance is extremely important, not just to make sure that the colour your putting on is the colour result you get but also for hygiene purposes. Cleaning your brushes properly will make sure you get the best results, minimise breakouts and make your brushes last longer which will save you money. There are two products I use both from E.L.F. cosmetics but M.A.C also do some and if your just doing the shampooing then you can even use Johnsons no tears baby shampoo which is delicate enough for your brushes.
image
For just a quick clean I use E.L.F. daily brush cleaner. In the morning after applying your make up just give each brush you use a couple of squirts and let them dry. Then they are ready for use the next day. For proper full maintenance make sure you wash your brushes at least once a week. I use E.L.F. Brush Shampoo at the moment in the past I used baby shampoo. Heres what to do:

    •  Run the water until its luke warm
    • Once the waters right either but a little shampoo on your first brush or in the the palm of your hand
    • Apply a little water to the brush and swish the brush in the palm your hand (You may already see the colour been drawn out)

image

  • Rinse under the until the water runs clear
  • Squeeze the last bits of water out and reshape your brush (Keep your brush facing to the floor this stops the warm water running inside the top of your brush and weakening the glue that holds it together)
  • Once you’ve reshaped the brush lay it down on a dry towel or flannel of or towel to dry
  • Repeat on each brush you’ve used, let them dry over night.

That’s it, if you take care of your brushes they will last longer.

Hunters Eyes – (Daytime Green)

A new look for you guys using a few new things that I received in my E.L.F. Cosmetics order this week, as well as some of my favourites. I wanted to do a look that was quite dramatic but could be used in the day too and in all honesty I am really happy with how it turned out… Greens look lovely when you have brown eyes. This can easily be done for a night time look as well just darken it into a smokey eye look with a bit more black and intensify the colour to make it pop out.  This what I used:

Face

Paul & Joe Moisturising Primer N 02

Lily Lolo Mineral Foundation SPF15 – Blondie

  • Smashbox Masquerade Palette – White (Inner Corner) Green/brown (Outer Corner)
  • Urban Decay Eye Shadow – Graffiti

  • E.L.F. Earth & Water Mascara Duo – Black Brown
  • Eyebrow Pencil – Dark Brown

Lips

Urban Decay Lipstick – Naked

Rainbow Eyes – Sensationelle Flicktips ( Lux Box )

Thought I would do something bright as I haven’t for a while now and when I go bright, I go Bright!. So I broke out the pinks, purples and blues and I loved the results especially with the Sensationelle Flicktips. I love these Flicktips they really are awesome, so easy to use, loads of designs and quick for the mornings you don’t have much time. I also added bubblegum coloured lips just for a kick.

Snow White & The Huntsman Palette : Look & Review

I had been waiting to see Snow White & The Huntsman for months when I came across this exclusive Palette by Diego Dalla Palma. I originally saw it advertised by She Said Beauty in a give away which I entered so I could have ended up with two.  The palette has 6 neutral shades, 3 sparkle and 3 matt, eyeliner and lipstick. I will swatch this later so you can see the colours on their own. I have never used Diego Dalla Palma make up before but I am impressed.

Here was what I used and my overall look:

Face

Paul & Joe Moisturising Pimer N

E.L.F Studio Tinted Moisturiser Spf 20

MAC Select Moisturecover – NW15

Illamasqua Powder Blusher – Unrequited

Eyes

Diego Dalla Palma – Snow White & The Huntsman Palette :

Eye shadows : Snow, Shield, Mirror Mirror, Fairest and Battleground

Eye liner: Dark Knight

E.L.F Studio : Eyebrow lifter / filler

Mac Mascara x – Black

Boots 17 Photo Flawless Mascara – Black,Gold

 Lips

Mac Lip Liner – Cherry

Diego Dalla Palma – Snow White & The Huntsman Palette : Lipstick – Wicked Queen

I loved using this palette, the colours were so soft and bendable. The eye liner was soft and could hold a line as well as work with a smudged smokey eye look and as for the lipstick this is a beautiful colour red which I will happily add to my collection, creamy and has staying power.

Enjoy x
