I’m absolutely gutted my popinabox subscrption hasn’t arrived yet, it’s not that it’s late, it hasn’t even been a week but I’m just very impatient and looking forward to the suprise. In preparation I’ve been clearing out a couple of my Funko Pop Vinyl, there are a few that look completely out of place in our collection and it’s time I found them a new home.
I knew I’d accumulated quite a few geeky goodies that I would never use but I wasn’t quite aware of just how much it had added up. That been said I’ve started adding my Funko Pop Vinyls that need a home as well as other geeky items to my store. If your interested just press the buy button. All prices include signed for postage and are available to UK residents.

I’ll be adding a couple more things day by day so stop by and see what’s been added.
I know it’s not Febuary anymore and the latest Marvel Collector Corps is already on it’s way out to people but I haven’t yet reviewed this box which was one of my all time favourite geeky goodies boxes.
I have a tendancy to not write a review if I don’t like a box, that’s not to say I just can’t be bothered but I end up disappointed after you wait for it to turn up and the last thing I want to write is a full post of I don’t like this, don’t like that….blah blah talk about negativity. so yes in short I wasn’t a fan of the Guardians of the Galaxy Box, the Villans box wasn’t for me but I quite liked Marvel’s Secret Wars. I was literally over the moon about the Deadpool box I couldn’t wait and I’m looking forward to Junes theme but i’ll get back to that later.
Deadpool was constantly a topic leading up to Febuary whether they were talking about this long awaited box, the just as antisapted film or a multitude of opinions on what the films rating should be. Now mine and the husbands Valentine Day was cinema to see the film and we loved it so the box coming about two weeks later wasn’t bad timing.
Unfortuetly no video this time around but a look at what was in this awesome box:
- Deadpool Patch & Pin Badge (Of Course)
- Funko Deadpool (Leaping) Pop Vinyl 123
- Funko Dorbz Deadpool Cowboy
- Deadpool Variant Cover Comic
- Deadpool T-Shirt Grey (3 other designs available)
- Deadpool inverted Mopeez
What an amazing box in my opinion, my son wanted to steal everything I think we now have a new Deadpool fan in the house, wait until I show him there is a Pirate Deadpool Dorbz. I wanted the t-shirt so I think I’m going to see if I can get hold of another one hopefully in a different colour so I don’t mix the husbands ad mine up.
It’s a pity but we won’t be getting the Captain America Civil War, I’ve seen a spolier online and although I love the films theres nothing new or different in the box that I feel I’m mssing out on. Obviously that’s a personal opinion as my husband is gutted we’ve missed out on it.
Anyway June is what I’ve got my mind set to now with the theme Marvel’s Women of Power, I’ve been waiting for one like this and I’m quite excited to see what they come up with. There is so many directions they can go with the idea lets hope they don’t let us down.
Our collection of pops have changed so much I think its time for an update, with new buys, delivery’s from pop in a box its hard to keep track of all of them, some have gone while our favourite collections have only expanded.
There are some sets I favour overall and personally for me my Supernatural pop vinyls are my favourite with my Once Upon A Time coming in a close second.
There’s nothing quite like getting a long searched for pop either out in the wild or buying from a fellow collector. Most our new arrivals are mystery pops but there are a few that I ordered from the Pop in a box shop which have arrived lately.
If your anything like me then waiting for certain pops to possibly be put in your monthly subscription isn’t an option so I like to pre-order the ones I want the most from the pop in a box store. There are plently places to pre-order pops from but pop in a box is my go to as you know where you are in the queue to recieve one, its usually cheaper and payment isn’t taken until they have stock.
I put in two pre-orders last year (December) for Once Upon a time Captain Hook and Regina these were a small part of ever growing pre-orders list but I knew I wanted them. When payment was taken it wasn’t long until they arrived as I had good queue numbers, I recieved Hook early January and Regina a couple of weeks later. They arrived in great condition, bubble wrapped and in a sturdy box. I was really pleased as I hate when pops arrive damaged.
As you can see perfect packaging, I then ordered Supernatural Bobby Singer because no collection would be complete without him, it arrived just in time for Mothers day again perfectly packed and no damage.
Just make sure to mark off the pops once you’ve recieved them otherwise you may end up with a second one in your pop in a box subscription. Any questions feel free to leave me a message and I’ll get back to you.
I’m a little late writing this up considering we had it the same time as our Marvel Collector Corps Ant-man box but if you have kids then you know weekends are super hectic, sometimes as busy as the week.
Anyway getting back to the Infinity Crate June box which the theme of the month was Gather. Now as soon as I heard this I was thinking Pokemon etc as you gather and collect objects. I can’t say I was super happy about the theme because I didn’t think there would be anything in it I would like but it was already paid for.
As usual hubby and son unboxing in which he insists on one of the items 🙂
And below is a list of the contents:
Funko Pop Avengers Age of Ultron : Ultron
4 Pin Badges
Hulk vs Thanos t-shirt
Yoshi mini soft toy
Not super impressed which is a pity as I enjoyed last month’s theme and was hoping to carry on for next months theme which is Time & Space. It’s a shame that it can’t be more personalised as we may have got a Borderlands Claptrap Pop which we haven’t got yet. White t-shirts also drive me crazy most prefer black but even grey would be better than white. Loved the Minecraft badge and the one I think is supernatural but still figuring out what to do with them. I don’t think we’ll bother next month but we’ll see.
Another first here on MsRetro,we signed up to My Geek Box June for the first time, we’d thought about trying it a few times but for us hearing that they were having a European Exclusive Pop Vinyl in the box was it’s selling point. We not only ordered one but two boxes because once again we argued over the t-shirt and I wanted my own.
Mine hasn’t arrived yet sadly so I’m hoping for Monday but the hubbie had his delivered today and we were dying to know what goodies it had inside.
Unfortunately we knew what the Pop was before we had the box as the whispers went to full blown yells in our Pop communities when a very popular website put the Pop up for sale with the sticker on the box.
Take a look at the unboxing with our excited shouty mini humans:
For those skipping the video or didn’t quite catch everything here is the list of the contents:
Funko Pop Vinyl Unmasked Cyclops (European Exclusive)
Mutant Academy t-shirt
Star Wars Heros Mouse Mat
Hero Pin Badges
Spiderman Heros and Villans Cards
As a first box it was quite good, I wish the pop had been better and a true exclusive but I don’t hate it. Love the t-shirt design but hate white clothes. I love the pin badges but as I’m no longer in my teenage years I’m wondering where to put them… I will think of something. The cards are great for my girls but I’ll have to work out how to use them and show them.
Overall I’m not overly excited to keep my subscription with them as there are better boxes out there and the exclusive Pop was a let down which doesn’t give me much to go on with their future boxes. We’ll have to see what happens.
Seems I’ve had so many new pops since our last pop in a box came and now it’s here again. This monthly box always gets me excited for what pop we will recieve, if it will be an exclusive or something I’ve been looking for,I love the suprise.
I’m hoping this month for something rare or different to the pops in our local stores so fingers crossed for a great sub this month. I spent hours (not jokeing) thumbs up and thumbs downing so many pops in the hope of just pops we want.
Here is the husband unboxing our box and yes I stole the popping candy…yummy cherry.
So an you can see above we recieved original Iron Man which is okay pretty common available in Tesco but he has a really good paint job unlike the Tesco ones and Hawkeye from Marvels Avengers Age of Ultron which is cool now we just have Hulk to go but again he’s in the local shops.
Still happy as they are ones I would have bought at some point but I want something new and exciting so I’m hoping next month we get a WOW pop.
If you’ve been keeping up with my geekaverse posts then you know my husband suprised me with a Shabby Geek box a couple of weeks back and has been hinting at every opportunity for me to repay the favour. Of course i rapidly ordered him once my bank balance allowed me to do so but kept it underwraps so I could suprise him.
Finally it arrived today in perfect time for an early fathers day present/ awesome husband gift. Keep in mind when ordering that they estimate 2 weeks at the moment as they are super busy with very good reason. Really good customer service and they take their time getting the content just right.
Here is his unboxing video, he may seems a bit crazy but that’s because he’s insanely happy to have something fun to open over a bill and really wasn’t expecting it. Haha my plan worked.
To sum up what my husband recieved:
Funko Pop : Breaking Bad Gus (Dead)
Minecraft Cushion Cover
Breaking Bad Gym Bag
Plants vs Zombies Notebook
Plants vs Zombies Plush Zombie
Fast and The Furious Mouse Mat
Husband is very happy and hopefully he’ll buy me another very soon. Thank you again Shabby Geek for an amazing box.
I know by now you’ve already read a good few posts about the Marvel Collector Corps boxes but I’ve finally got mine so your going to hear my opinion and see what t-shirt I got. I’ve been looking forward to this ever since watching a review about the box and I was sold as soon as I saw the Pop in it because anyone that’s seen Avengers Age of Ultron will probably want one. It probably took me longer than normal to get round to ordering it because I wasn’t sure about ordering a box that was $43 (roughly £29) and then possibly having to pay custom charges on top of that.
In the end my other half wanted this box so badly we thought why not and I am beyond happy we didn’t get the custom charges on top which makes this box a bargain for what is inside.
My son thinks Captain America is awesome just like his mammy so you can see he’s already trying to claim it as his own, very clever 1 year old but he’s going to have to share. I do already know the contents but just not sure which t-shirt we got so pretty excited. Take a look at the video below and I’ll list the items underneath just in case you miss something.
The contents of my Marvel Collector Corps Avengers box in no particular order:
Funko Pop Vinyl : Hulkbuster
Captain America vs Ultron T-shirt (4 different ones to collect)
Funko Dorbz: Ultron
Collector Corps Pin Badge
Collector Corps Woven Patch
Unlike the standard subscrption boxes these come out every two months, this was Aprils and the next one for June has the theme Antman. I’m not quite sure yet if we will get it, we’ll probably wait it out and see the contents first to see if it’s worth it and has items that we want. Either way I’m looking forward to seeing what boxes they bring out in the coming months.
My husband has been teasing me for the last week that he has ordered me a suprise and today it finally arrived. I was so excited as I had no clue what it was going to be in any shape or form.
It was quite a big box so that immediately threw me as I thought he’d just ordered me a Pop Vinyl so at this point I was even more intrigued.
I opened the box took out the brown paper wrapping and sat on top of bubble wrap was Nerds and a tootsie roll lollipop. The Nerds took me back to childhood as I loved buying these from the shop but anyway under the wrapping was an amazing amount of goodies really well wrapped.
To start off I unwrapped a Pop and it was Cowley from Supernatural now this starts off my Supernatutal collection and I love it. Everything that followed was equally as awesome just take a look at the video.
Pop Vinyl Supernatural : Cowley
Harley Quinn Pillowcase set
Harley Quinn Tote Bag
Supernatural Castiel Mug
Harley Quinn Note Book
Harley Quinn Magnetic Interchangeable Vinyl
I’m blown away with the contents of this Shabby Geek Express box and love the way the contents have been put together with the themes asked for.
After been dissapointed by other companies this is a breath of fresh air and I wouldn’t mind getting another box. Best husband ever for this present.
I’m slowly thinking that Pop Vinyls are becoming an obsession in our house. Not an entirely unhealthy one but an expensive one to say the least. Saying that I don’t think it will stop anytime soon as its something us and the kids love (especially us!). Our youngest daughter has now asked for Elsa from Frozen for her Birthday which will start yet another collection.
I couldn’t wait for our May Pop In A Box to arrive and as usual we couldn’t stop ourselves from buying a couple before hand which is dangerous territory when the Pop Vinyls you get are a mystery until you open the box. It’s our second box from Pop In A Box and once again we weren’t dissapointed. If you are looiing for a Pop subscription then I couldn’t reccomend them anymore highly. You will not be dissapointed beleive me.
So this month we recieved :
Guardians of the Galaxy : Groot
We also ordered an extra Pop this month, we were very very lucky to get Master Chief from Halo 4, this was sourced by Ed from Pop In A Box and it really is awesome so we’ve proudly added him to our ever growing collection.
